LANSING, Mich. — Attorney General Dana Nessel announced a new consumer protection initiative. Michigan Identity Theft Support is an extension of the consumer protection team. Their focus is to help victims identify the signs and types of theft as well as steps to combat it.
Nessel said it is the department’s goal to equip as many people as they can with tools to safeguard their personal information.
