Pickleball for beginners
To celebrate national pickleball month the Daytona/Port Orange pickleball will host five intro pickleball sessions for beginners, age 10 and up, 9 a.m. through Saturday, April 28 at 4790 S. Deltona Arbor Day tree giveaway
The City will host an Arbor Day celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 27, in the Courtyard at City Hall, 2345 Providence Blvd. The City plans to offer free shrubs and trees purchased from a local nursery. Ormond Beach Library hosts book sale
The Friends of the Ormond Beach Library will host a buy one, get one book sale noon to 4 p.m. Friday, April 27; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28. The event will be in the auditorium and book sale room at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St. Members of the Friends group will be admitted 15 minutes early. The sale will include new and recycled books, DVDs, CDs, videocassettes, children’s books and magazines. All items are buy one, get one of equal or lesser value. Extension offers lawn and landscape workshop

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Volusia County will honor three local congregations for their commitment to Habitat for Humanity 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, in the West Wing of the Museum of Arts and Sciences, 352 S.
